Roar, the fastest selling digital song of all time? That Roar? It's #2 on iTunes over 2 months after it's release, and it hasn't left the Top 5 at all in that time. Just because it's spent most of it's chart run at #2 on Billboard instead of #1 doesn't mean it's less successful. Even us Katy stans can see that there's more to a song's success than it's weeks at #1 (at least it was there at all, for more than one week too).

"
Roar" still has a long way to go to topple "
California Gurls"...
And "
California Gurls" was in the Top 5 for 14 consecutive weeks after it's debut at #2 (with 3 additional weeks in the Top 10). It spent a considerable time at #2 also. While "
Roar" maybe a fast selling single, I do not agree that it has outperformed "California Gurls" 6 consecutive week stay at #1... among HEAVY competition (specifically, 2 strong Eminem singles).
Even with all that said, I predicted
PRISM to sell 300k... 108k HIGHER than what
Teenage Dream sold in it's first week. I would have predicted PRISM higher if she released a better 2nd single other than "
Unconditional"... I truly think "
Double Rainbow" would've grown on the GP as it has me.
Please... chill out!
