Listen to alternative music with the volume quiet enough to not be a nuisance but loud enough to hear. I suggest using the "Naked and Famous", "Florence + The Machine", "Birdy", and "Bon Iver" stations on Spotify.

I had a huge like make or break exam last year and I made like 30 flash cards and studied them for 3 hours and I got a 91 on my exam. Its not really like groundbreaking but it worked

I've never tried flash cards because I just don't have the effort. Might try it for some of my finals though to see how it works out.

Great artists. I also use alternative music to study. I believe it really helps you calm down.

Flashcards are key. Or use Genius app for Mac if they still make it. It's like a flash card app and it will test you.

Also, try to make each thing you're trying to study mean something. Sounds stupid, but even relate loosely to something in your life or something you can relate to, and it will stick with you better.

I'm not in school anymore, but that's what I did and it worked pretty well! Don't use highlighters and ****, there is really no point in that unless you're using it to review when you're skimming through something. Highlighting doesn't help you remember. Repetition and making connections definitely help though!

I don't study because I'm naturally a great test taker. I'm a slow test taker, but I usually ace them. I don't really have study tips.

. It sucks how you don't want to go on ATRL, but I casually go on to check things and then something like Gaga's twitter distracts you for a period of time.

Don't listen to music, your brain will be forced to concentrate on two separate things. If you do listen to music, listen to songs W/O WORDS. Movie soundtracks are recommended.

Create a hard test for yourself so you know what to study. That way, you won't have to waste time going over what you already know and focus on the things you don't.

If you are memorizing something test yourself about topics in a random order. (not the one you studied in [ like if you studied vocab in alphabetical order, remember them in a rearranged way] )

Sorry, I don't really know how to explain my studying methods. I usually can remember most of what was taught in class with a little nudge from reviewing.
