I don't think the problem was really the contracts. Those contracts were standard contracts at the time, when Lisa broke down how they got broke, it made sense to me. Also they were not forced to sing those contracts.

Except for Lisa, they had no writing credits, not one, therefore no royalties. They weren't even singing their background vocals for most parts, they had other skilled vocalists sing their background vocals so that made even more money to give away.

I saw the their Breakfast Club interview they are saying Pebbles and LA Reid have done some **** that will dislike them after we see the movie.
