This car pulls up and this woman and who I will assume is either her boyfriend or husband was smoking. This bothered me a great deal, and she was so nonchalant about it. If she's smoking while with child then I'm almost certain she drinks, too. I was in total disbelief.

She sounds like a sweetheart.

That poor baby. And of course she was black. Black and ghetto, I could tell by the way she carried herself.

Yeah, it disgusts me too. Addiction is terrible but so is having a child damaged from the carcinogens.

Terrible. Hopefully soon we can outlaw all bad lifestyle activities while incubators are carrying offspring.

Smoking while pregnant is bad, but nowhere near as bad as drinking while pregnant. Most of the major complications with smoking while pregnant have to due to potential problems during pregnancy, compared to the adverse effects after birth. All of which are still bad, but the really bad ones are things like membrane ruptures, etc.
