Not a whole lot to jump around for in terms of the iTunes tracks, but the albums are solid, especially Kala, which I find to be a revelation.

Roger's Best of 2007 (#90-81 Tunes; #30-26 Albums)
Thanks for all the nice comments guys.
Top 100 Tunes of 2007
81. Nelly Furtado - All Good Things (Come To An End)
82. James Morrison - You Give Me Something
83. The Shins - Phantom Limb
84. John Butler Trio - Better Than
85. Smashing Pumpkins - Tarantula
86. Avril Lavigne - Keep Holding On
87. The Fratellis - Whistle For The Choir
88. Tokyo Police Club - Your English Is Good
89. Finger Eleven - Paralyzer
90. Carrie Underwood - So Small
Lots to talk about here. Start off the set with Canadian music queen Nelly Furtado, who hit #10 with her huge European smash "All Good Things". She's got one more to chart this year that will come much later on the year-end. Fellow Canuck Avril Lavigne sees her first of three on the year-end, she can always be counted on for a top 5 hit, although "Keep Holding On" mustered a #12 peak but showed some staying power. Who else has three on the catalogue? More Canadians! Tokyo Police Club show their faces at #88 with their UK-only release "Your English Is Good". They have two more to come on the year-end (with one exceptional showing in particular), and their album will see some good recognition. Speaking of album recognition, The Fratellis will get some as well, as they see their first of two singles make the year-end. Even more Canadians? Finger Eleven fizzled outside of the top 10, but managed an enormous US crossover hit with "Paralyzer", the song just gets old fast.

Roger's Best of 2007 (#90-81 Tunes; #30-26 Albums)
Thanks folks.
Top 40 Albums of 2007
30. Spoon - Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga
Highlights: Don't You Evah, My Little Japanese Cigarette Case, Eddies Raga, The Underdog
"The tug-of-war between bristly unavailability and candid confession mirrors a musical duet between post-punk snarls and genial pop charms. There's no resolution, but the struggle is endlessly compelling." - Spin
29. Kate Nash - Made Of Bricks
Highlights: Foundations, Dickhead, sh*t Song
"It's one of the most exciting debuts by a young female pop artist in ages. If occasionally it veers a wee bit too much towards the cutesy-kooky. " - Dotmusic
28. Maroon 5 - It Won't Be Soon Before Long
Highlights: Makes Me Wonder, Won't Go Home Without You, Goodnight Goodnight, Kiwi
"These are all songs that you would have trouble getting out of your head, and It Won’t Be Soon Before Long is the second coming and establishing factor of Maroon 5 as the pop band of the century thus far." - Sputnikmusic
27. Fall Out Boy - Infinity On High
Highlights: Thnks Fr Th Mmrs, Golden, Hum Hallelujah, The Take Over The Breaks Over
"Gleaming with instant hooks, this is a uniformly radio-friendly album. It's also a hugely addictive and likeable one." - Q
26. Bedouin Soundclash - Street Gospels
Highlights: Walls Fall Down, 1259 Lullaby, Nico On The Night Train, Midnight Rockers
"You can feel the genuine love and appreciation for dub and reggae throughout Street Gospels, not just via the guest players but also through frontman Jay Malinowski, with his gentle, raspy tones and easy-breezy phrasing." - Amazon

One word: "Tarantula".
I'll have more to say about it later, but to say that it's a rockin' tune would be a MASSIVE understatement.

All Good Things, Tarantula, Whistle For The Choir, Your English Is Good, and Paralyzer are all stellar tracks.
As for the albums, Maroon 5 & Fall Out Boy are both great.

Roger's Best of 2007 (#80-71 Tunes; #25-21 Albums)
Thanks for the comments guys.
Top 40 Albums of 2007
25. Metric - Grow Up And Blow Away
Highlights: Hardwire, Rock Me Now, Soft Rock Star
"Grow Up is consistently very good, though perhaps not to the extent that it becomes essential for anyone other than their existing fan base. Even so, it remains an enviably accomplished debut, and an engrossing 39 minutes." - musicOMH
24. The Arcade Fire - Neon Bible
Highlights: No Cars Go, Keep The Car Running, Intervention
"If "Neon Bible" doesn't quite dazzle as "Funeral" did, that's more a measure of the latter album's benchmark brilliance, rather than the inferiority of the former." - Dotmusic So very true.
23. Paramore - Riot!
Highlights: Misery Business, Crushcrushcrush, Hallelujah, Let The Flames Begin
"Riot! is immediately appealing because it focuses on sounds that have been neglected by the genre’s frontrunners. This is an uncomplicated album comprising of strikingly uncomplicated music, entirely lacking in 15 word song titles, Jay-Z guest appearances, and theatrical meta-concepts about performing in a rock band. " - Stylus Oh, and she's got a ****ing amazing voice for someone her age. Rawk.
22. Rihanna - Good Girl Gone Bad
Highlights: Rehab, Umbrella, Don't Stop The Music
"This CD sounds as if it were scientifically engineered to deliver hits. " - New York Times
"An unexpectedly varied and satisfying listen. " - Pitchfork
"An album of class, depth and seriously hard grinding, it's a major transformation from pretty girl with potential to star turn." - Dotmusic
One of the most genuinely terrific pop albums of 2007
21. Foo Fighters - Echoes, Silence, Patience, and Grace
Highlights: The Pretender, Stranger Things Have Happened, Summers End
"Dave Grohl and company have assembled a strong assortment of the band's familiar, well-built tuneage, from muscular rockers and sinuous ballads to good-natured power-pop and riff-heavy radio anthems. " - Boston Globe
The top 20 is on the way by Weekend's time. And I should be writing my own commentary for each album at this point. So keep an eye out for that.

Top 100 Tunes of 2007
71. Athlete - Hurricane
72. Three Days Grace - Never Too Late
73. Christina Aguilera - Candyman
74. Sum 41 - Walking Disaster
75. Hilary Duff - Stranger
76. Interpol - No I In Threesome
77. The Killers - For Reasons Unknown
78. The Tragically Hip - In View
79. Kate Nash - Foundations
80. The Arcade Fire - Keep The Car Running
Lots more of Canadian love in this set. Sum 41 make their sole appearance on the year-end, and its no surprise following the lacklustre "Underclass Hero". However, The Arcade Fire chart with their first of two, as the epic track off "Neon Bible" is still to come. Both Three Days Grace and The Tragically Hip see sole but fine appearances with some of their best releases to date. Outside the Canadian front, we get a splash of CHR. Hilary Duff goes on to release one of the most well-reviewed pop albums of the year, and songs like "With Love" and especially "Stranger" show that she deserves the credit. Both The Killers and Interpol see their first tracks on the year-end, and I don't think its a spoiler to say they have other tracks charting much higher, like top 10 high, on the year-end.
