yes, he did. IKAG wasn't homophobic at all, just opportunistic. USG was misguided, but I don't think she had any malicious intent. Katy has always been supportive of gay rights. I think the ambiguity in the lyric video has more to do with love not being bound by gender. But it's certainly open to interpretation, and if you're looking to peg Katy as a homophobe, well, it's easy to twist things however you like.

Ur So Gay literally tells someone to go kill themselves, associates effeminacy with being gay and acts like effeminacy is a bad thing and a reason to hate someone.

It was exploitative of bisexuality - she's certainly not the first person to do so, but that doesn't make it right. Still, "I Kissed a Girl" is not a homophobic song, not even a little bit. And I've already admitted that "Ur So Gay" was misstep. I know the song offends some people, but I'm not one of them.

Katy is not afraid of "losing record sales" because of an affiliation with the LGBT community. Are you kidding me? Just as recently as August, she publicly voiced her support for gay marriage during a radio interview in Australia and confronted a conservative politician with opposing views. That doesn't sound like the behavior of someone who's afraid of losing sales because of her stance on human rights issues. **** outta here with that
