It's one thing for something to resonate with your prior experiences, it's another to think that something is good. I've never been through a bad breakup or found love in a hopeless place but I still know that "Rolling in the Deep" and "We Found Love" are good songs. And conversely, I've known someone was trouble when they walked in, but that doesn't mean I think "I Knew You Were Trouble" is a good song. Whether a song or video recalls a prior experience of mine says nothing about whether I think it's good, and it shouldn't because otherwise you're judging it for reasons completely seperate from its own merits.
When it boils down to it, I just think the video for "We Found Love" is incredibly ordinary.
