I agree with you on this. However, still don't find it horror, or atleast "traditional horror movie". For me even The Blair Witch Project is more in that category that RB.

Night of the Living Dead, Psycho, The Exorcist, The Shining, and Scream.

Definitely non-traditional, but hell.. RB isn't a straight up thriller. The themes are monstrously dark. If it isn't horror, how would you classify it's genre?
