Yeah, most people don't wear shoes around their house. Asians are just much more strict about it generally. It's not a generalization, it's just a culture thing.

I have a dog so it's not cleanly to walk around barefoot and then hop into bed. if i wear shoes, my dog's hair and anything that was on my dog's feet when he was running outside wont get in my bed.

I conveniently remember to take them off when I'm at my OWN house, but when I'm at someone else's house, I conveniently forget to take them off. It drives my best friend nuts because he's always like, "You know... Normal people take OFF their shoes when they come inside." and I'm always like, "Yeah... But who said I was normal?" Lol.

Shoes in the house is NASTY! Not unless they are house slippers that you ONLY wear in the house. Otherwise its like dragging in all the nasty things you stepped on inside your house. Especially carpet. If you are wearing your outdoor shoes on the carpet that is NASTY! You can't vacuum up all that dirt.

Full on barefooted, baby. A habit I'm trying to tone down, but I just cannot stand wearing socks alone for long periods of time. Usually try to offset it by wearing fun things like cable knit slipper boots, knee or spa socks — something that'll make me wear them longer But as long as your place is clean and you get regular pedicures, who cares, right?
