For me It's better than Teenage Dream, but still not as great as One Of The Boys

When I first heard the album yesterday, I'm not gunna lie... I was pretty underwhelmed. BUT NOW I've listened through many times and it's my favourite album of the year there's not even any tracks I dislike now.

Listened to the album twice, I gotta say I didn't set the bar that high but this is definitely her best album yet. This Moment and Choose Your Battles are absolute filler. Spiritual, Legendary Lovers and Walking On Air are my trinity to be honest, I will give this album more spins to see what else changes for me.

Prism is my fave album of 2013

Great album! It's so much more cohesive than Teenage Dream and has better overall production, lyrics and vocals imo. That being said I don't think there is a song as great as ET or TOTGA (my favourite Katy songs ever) on PRISM but as a whole I prefer PRISM to TD.
It Takes Two seems to be the most underrated song to me because it's so amazing and I've seen so many people call it one of the album's weaker tracks.

This album is a bit to "generic" for me in places, but I guess it's a solid 'pop' album.

Final rating : 6/10

on the first listen I've reduced it to an ep:
1. Legendary Lovers 10/10 verses are slaying
2. Birthday 5/10 on the second listen rn, I might delete this one too
3. Walking On Air 8.5/10 a little too not my style, but it's still good music
4. Unconditionally 9/10 once again the verses slayage, chorus is great but could've been better
5. Dark Horse 9/10 like it from the first snippet
6. This Is How We Do 6.5/10 it's ok, I'm not sure yet if I'll leave it or delete it, some parts are cute
7. By The Grace Of God 10/10 perfect, even though I probably won't listen to it on heavy rotation but I admire Katy for going pure talent without the gimmicks and huge production, simplicity is the best
8. Choose Your Battles 10/10 might be my favorite along with LL, the way she sings "..I just wanna be your LOVEEER.." is magnificent, reminds me of Ray Of Light(album) especially the production

Overall: well done Katy, it's a hit and miss, but I'd rather have a few amazing songs with some being worse and not my tea than everything being average

I feel bad for you sis. Such a pity you won't be able to listen to the Gems of Prism. Double Rainbow, Ghost, Love Me, This Moment, It Takes Two and Spiritual slays!

Listened to it twice now and I think it's pretty forgettable. Legendary Lovers is amazing, ike a mix of Florence & the Machine and Ray of Light era Madonna. Unconditionally, This Is How We Do and Spiritual (Madonna vibe again) are cute, apart from them I'm not crazy about any of the songs I hadn't heard before. Maybe it'll grow on me eventually.
