Like I said in the other thread, Jenny and all the audience members clapping for her probably believe Pakistan is in the Middle East and have no idea who the hell Bashar Al-Assad is (even though he's the president of a country that's been in the news all the time for the past year) so they're in no position to talk about ignorance and doing their homework. I wouldn't be surprised if she and most of the audience weren't sure who Malala Yousafzai is either.

The entire panel did not drag Nicole. Jenny McCarthy did, she is only 1/4th of 'The View'...but Sherri, in addition to Barbara Walters, stood up for Nicole. Whoopi had agreed with Jenny, but was not hostile in her delivery. Anyway, it's nice to see Nicole making the news, stateside, and being talked about on such a popular program.

Oh, and be nice, that "the woopee lesbian lady" is an Oscar, Emmy, Tony, Golden Globe, and Grammy-award winning ARTISTE. With that being said, she is the one who had looked silly not being able to pronounce/read "Nicole", which, despite its origin, is now a very common American name.

And the "unknown plus sized lady" is actually quite known across the US.

But, imagine if her name was actually "Nole Scherzinger" though...sounds like an indie artist stage name, lol.

I still don't get why Nicole gets 'dragged' bad for this. Nicole is not supposed to do her homework on a event where she normally should not even expect such question. Beside that, like I said in the other thread.Even though I also personally think it should be known by everyone, just for the common knowledge, I don't blame her. My lil brother (18 years old) also just knows the name of Malala and doesn't knows the story. There are enough people who don't care much for WW news and just follow what is important to them personally, so the local news and stuff. I bet if you put 99% of the current popgirls in a room without press or pr people and ask them the same question that most of them would have either made a fool of themselves pretending to know what they were talking about or also would have admitted that they don't know the issue.

At the end of the day we are still talking about people, some people don't know everything, and aslong as they can fullfill their life without harming others, why care about what they know or should have known.
