As a science student at an established institution I will say that many of the answers in here are absolute messes.

Do not go to ATRL for help, ever. That's what teachers are for.

And I agree with the above. That is not calculus. Calculus involves the major operations of differentiation and integration (often limits), which this is not. This is simple algebra with absolutes thrown in to confuse you.
