I don't understand why people are trying to shade her song writing ability.

She wrote a song called "Red" BY HERSELF, A song for Christy Grimme's album, co-wrote a song for Kiss & Tell, 2 for WTSGD, and the bonus tracks on SD.

EDIT: I also don't understand why everyone is obsessed with shading Selena. Don't you have your own fav to worry about? Stop hopping in on every thread about an artist you don't like and trying to drag them for filth. There's a thing called a "life". Go get one. Simmer down everyone' It's really not that serious. No one cares how your fav is superior or how Selena is inferior. MOVE ON.

She did say she was going to have a break but many times after that she has said that she wants to do both so I don't understand why people are surprised

Anyway, I'm glad to see her writing. She has co-written somethings before. She does have songwriting ability, I think she just gets a bit nervous with her own songs because singing isn't her "main" thing and she always saw herself as more of an actress. I'm glad to see we'll finally get some more personal stuff.

I hope she starts promoting Slow Down soon though and releases more singles. Don't move on too fast girl

She has to do music cos she has some success there where as her movie career is done. She did like 4 movies and all of them flopped commercially & No popstar gets taken seriously as an actress anyway.
