Anyway, to answer the OP, yes. The lyrics are clearly homophobic.
I think the homosexuals using the F word debate parallels Black people saying the N word. I don't think it makes someone hypocritical to be offended by the use of certain words by people that aren't members of their own community. It's not the same -- when a Black person uses the N word or a gay man uses the F word, the intent behind the usage is usually completely different than a straight person using the F word or a White person using the N word -- even if there is no ill intent, if you're not a member of that community, it just won't ever come across the right way. Also, not all Black people agree with the inter-community usage of the N word and all gay people don't agree with the similar usage of the F word, so the assumption that ALL of certain communities only conditionally support or agree with slurs being adapted as colloquialisms because some do is rather narrow minded.
And so is telling people what they do and don't have the right to be offended by. If it doesn't bother you, fine -- keep it pushing. But the fact that people are attacking people for taking offense is really ridiculous. It's one thing to be a fan of someone, but, if you're a fan, you know who you're dealing with. Eminem makes controversial lyrics that often offend people and the people who are offended have a right to express their disdain for what he says.
It's v. disappointing to still be getting this from him in 2013. Has he learned nothing from Macklemore??
Lmfao at the thought of Eminemlearning something from Macklemore.

You all have no right to tell gays, women, blacks, or whoever he decides to PURPOSELY offend the next day that they don't have a right to be offended or express it. Wrong is wrong.
Point blank period.
Nowhere did I imply that you or anyone had no right to express why you're offended. However,
you would look a hell of a lot smarter -- and a hell of a less ridiculous -- if you just ignored
it all together. That was my clear point. But by all means, be enraged, old sport.

...Vin
But this thread is "Discussion: Is 'Rap God' homophobic?"
This is clearly the place to discuss it if it's going to be discussed.
Why are you even trying to explain his actions period? Y'all are trying to justify and make excuses for what he said.
There is no need to even explain his actions anyway when his lyrics are pretty much straight to the point.
I literally just said in the response that you are responding to it's because some people are saying he says all this because he is a hateful person/homophobic.
I'm not gay so no, I do however know that you'll have been suffered a lot and preach to people everyday about equality and how being gay isn't a sin, yet certain members on this site make it very hard to do so
You're a small minded bigot if you are going to let certain gay people affect your whole opinion on gay people as a whole.
That's horrible. That's like saying "all black people are dumb" because you're referring to Kanye.
Funny the disgusting lyrics I read is direct reflection of Eminem's own ignorance and how he views gay's in general. I don't care if some want to still stan for him other's are forgiving like that and at the end of the day that's all on you. However i'm saddened by the people telling others to quit being so over sensitive yet refuse to acknowledge that the lyrics are indeed targeting a certain group of people. There is really no justification for it in my eye's, and no amount of well insert this person does it too will justify it either.
