Anyways, rappers have used the term "******" before with no absolute meaning behind it at all, I'm not condoning the usage of the word but it's a known fact.

Not all of us do. Please stop making out that we all, or most of us, say homophobic things ourselves.

Every group of people has individuals that are bigoted and hateful, even minorities like the LGBT community and it's never justified. It's really not fair to try to pass off a massive group of people just because of your encounters with a few of them, or to say it's okay to attack and throw slurs at them because of that.

Oh, true. I absolutely do remember that. That being said, in the grand scheme of the career that is EMINEM, this whole
"let's make a huge ordeal over Eminem's lyrics in the media" is so 1999, man. And you wonder why he keeps doing what he's doing -- because people continue to react the same way every time (there's some meta commentary going on here; I'm well aware). Why anyone on ATRL, the forum who put "Love The Way You Lie" and "I Need A Doctor" on the highest of pedestals, would suddenly become offended and deeply hurt because Eminem, of all people, used gay slurs, is a bit ridiculous. One can't help but to have a look of bewilderment while thinking, "Do you not know who Eminem is? He built his career on gay slurs and being as offensive as possible." Does it make it right? Nah. But, it also doesn't make it shocking, seeing as he's been doing it for nearly 20 years now. So, what's the solution? Get over it or don't listen to him. It's really that simple.

When you have a problem visiting your significant other in the hospital, giving blood, getting married, holding hands in public, or just being verbally/physically when you don't even bother anyone and because you like the same gender then you come back to me and discuss this.
You sound ridiculous.

That's not how you respond to **** like this. One song does not reflect the entire music genre. Two songs don't... Three songs don't...
Eminem did indeed cross the line, but realize rap music isn't full of people belittling others.

People who have limited knowledge in Hip-Hop are gonna come to the conclusion that it's filled with homophobic lyrics.

It's v. disappointing to still be getting this from him in 2013. Has he learned nothing from Macklemore??

I said I find it very hard to defend such people when they themselves have expressed hatred towards others.

You find it hard to defend gay people when gay people are defending themselves from 'advocates' like you. I'd love to be your 'gay' friend. Hope there's not a line.

So if there's been a few hateful black people they, as a WHOLE, suddenly deserve to be bullied and targeted for being black? Listen to yourself

I don't care if Eminem has been doing this since Jesus was hung on the cross.
You all have no right to tell gays, women, blacks, or whoever he decides to PURPOSELY offend the next day that they don't have a right to be offended or express it. Wrong is wrong.
Point blank period.

I think its trolling at this point.
At least I hope so.
And Vin is a permanent troll so I don't know why y'all are getting pressed.
Anyway, the lyrics are homophobic, no two ways about it, and they should be condemned.

It's just so disgusting. I mean, of course, not as disgusting as homophobia or any form of hate but yeah.
I just wish people would realize hip-hop isn't homophobic, individuals are homophobic.
I am forever pressed over Macklemore's line in Same Love because no one should feel like a genre or group of people hate them because of who they are. People in that group might, but they will never face 100% opposition.

actually ... he could have changed the rap game if he put out a song about equality and pro gay lyrics since he ACTUALLY HAS A LOT OF INFLUENCE, imagine the positive headlines .. but no, let's take some steps back..

Lol at ryan having problems with gay people because they don't all have perfect personalities. How weird that he's not criticizing straight people for being flawed as well!

This.
It's not right but they all do it because "it's cool". But thank god their are a few rappers that feel that the trend is wrong.
