Discussion: Why is Pink the only successful pop girl left from early 00s

She was never really considered on the level of Britney Spears or Xtina when they were in their prime - in the early 00s. But if you look now, Pink consistently had successful tours and her last 3 albums all sold more than 5 million copies worldwide (and her last heading for 2x plat in the US) - huge for today's standards.

So, why did Pink outlast Britney and Xtina (who have/appear to be fading, as much as I love Brit - she'll however always remain a music legend) to the point where she's one of the best selling acts today?

Anyway, you have to consider that Pink changed her craft and became more GP friendly. Her image changed a bit, her sound is completely different now. It's not like she's doing the same thing over and over like Britney, for example, that relies in the same type of music (I'm talking about the theme of the music and so on). Also, Britney and Xtina suffered a lot in the media - Xtina's drama with Gaga and Britney's meltdown, while Pink remained low key which was good for her.

She did R&B, she did darker pop/Pop rock album and she did her punk rock/garage rock, whatever rock album.

Leaving such long periods of time between albums is to me a risk, but she can do it and still come back and smash.

And no-one is taking risks these days anyway, everyone's been playing it safe.

lmao she hasn't outlasted either of them. outselling them NOW does not negate them outselling her THEN when they are still selling period.

christina also has way more exposure than pink, as she is on a very popular television program.

and at the end of the day, they'll both be ahead of her in record books and in history.

it's about what you've done, not when you do it.

if anything, britney and christina are changing their tires and having water sprayed in their face while pink still races around the track.
