LOL all of Gaga's VMA performances have been overshadowed though. 2009 by Kanye West, 2011 by Blue Ivy, and 2013 by Miley Cyrus.
I think her most memorable VMA moment is the meat dress outfit not a performance.
You've said some things that have been quite far from the truth, but this is just something else.
It was really forgettable. The pregnancy itself was news, but not the basic performance and her antics. I'm honestly surprised someone mentioned it as an iconic VMA moment.
d. You guys play too much. Not particularly the "belly rub" itself, but the whole pregnancy announcement is memorable. It happened at the VMA's then ran on its own legs for months after. No one can deny the articles, being the discussion of talk shows, and headlines on national news sources.
just popped in to say: Lad Gaga still sucks
I'm glad his downward spiral into irrelevancy continued and even accelerated while I was away
all is well
Klepty, ha new album snippets **** on Toucan, its sorry excuse of a career
buh-bye
Whenever I see your avi I remember when I used to be a LM and bought the Rolling Stone that had this Gaga photo shoot, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger
For something to be iconic it needs to have been referenced and reproduced extensively, it needs to be something commonly used to represent something (like how MJ's gloves or his moonwalk are used to reference him and are instantly recognizable).
Miley's twerking satisfies this, appearing in a variety of forms like memes, lego, Halloween costumes, TV shows, etc. Britney/Madonna kiss and Kanye/Taylor also had this happen at the time.
While obviously memorable, Beyonce's pregnancy reveal doesn't satisfy this criteria and therefore isn't iconic.
From what I've seen, Beyhive doesn't seem as pressed over Ri as the Navy is over Bey. 90% of the time it is the Rihanna stans who start it. I think alot of them hate Bey more than they like Rih-almost as if they stan for Rihanna just to spite Bey.
