A lot of the movie versions were a mess. I hate how they dumbed down Storm's power and made her seem weak. They stripped Rogue of everything except for her ability to drain others and, if I remember correctly, they only allowed her to take two people's powers (Wolverine's and Pyro) and use them herself.
Matthew Vaughn and the other writers involved in
First Class should continue to stay involved in future X-Men films. They did a great job and it stands out amongst all the other films.
