That "If I Die Young" performance is POWERFUL

I agree, or at least for the parts where they were supposed to be breaking down/crying. I understand it's hard to get live recordings of singing, but I think it would have made them much more powerful. That being said, they were all beautiful.

I watched the episode today. I lost it when Santana screamed and ran out the door.
Bawled my eyes out.

The song from RENT The saddest of them all

Mark's acting was all over the place for this episode, but his vocal performance on his song was my favorite.

Some of the best song selections out of any of their episodes, and each performance was phenomenal.

Make You Feel My Love, of course, is my favorite.

They never say why the character died.

Yeah, the whole point of the episode was "who cares about how he died, let's celebrate the good things he did when he was alive"

I think it would be way rougher on the cast if they suddenly had to sing live on the set for this episode. They didn't even film more than one take for most of these scenes.
