What terrible relationship was it that Kelly wrote Sober about? She mentioned it last night when she performed it at the Fair Trade Concert.
I think it was several people she was trying to get rid of at that time in her life.... that's why Calamity McEntire gave her the line "pick the weeds and keep the flowers," when they were talking about KC's problems. Could be a mix of people she worked with, friends, family, etc.
That head voice is everything. I will always prefer this song broken down like this. She does so many little vocal tricks and the arrangement usually weighs it down. flawless.
On E! News she talked about her wedding. She said she and Brandon are writing their own vows. Adorable. Kelly said she's super nervous about that. And the lady interviewing her was like Kelly you perform for so many people and Kelly was like "I sing! I don't talk" haha.
Her control over her head voice has gotten exorbitantly stronger. The way she mixes and transitions between chest and head voice has become so smooth. Good for her. Now let's see if she can translate that skill into a studio recording that will give us the AOTY.
Kelly should tweet saying she's coming out of the closet, the media would go crazy. Then a few days later she can tweet again ".....yes I'm coming out of the closet, that's where I hide my Xmas presents. #BuyWrappedInRedOct29th"
Catch My Breath - Pop Solo Performance, record and song of the year Don't Rush - Country collaboration
This might sound crazy but I do see CMB getting Song of the Year or Record of the Year nominations. It's super catchy, it was a radio smash (100 million AI) and the lyrics are fantastic. It's been shown on previous years #1 hits don't always get Grammy nominations for those categories. Don't Rush needs to be in the Country collaboration and I hope it wins cause it's FLAWLESS!
