lol no. He could have come out with topless girls around him basically doing what he did in the Blurred lines music video and the amount of attention he'd get would be a lot less than mileys.
It's not even about the media playing into it but the way the general public talked about it, if it was the other way around the news would have died like a week after the performance yet we're still talking about it.
