I find it kind of difficult to answer this because I haven't heard any of the singles and I don't know if she's getting a TV special, etc. Michael Buble had good singles and a special and his holiday album sold almost 2.5 million just in the 2011 holiday season (currently triple platinum), so it's totally possible for holiday albums to be huge successes if people know about them and stuff. If it's a traditional style holiday album like Buble, Josh Groban, etc I can see it doing very well.

This alone will sell 100k

I think people are grossly underestimating Kelly. It's a Christmas album, yes, but by a very respected, acclaimed vocalist in the industry. She's America's sweetheart, their original Idol. And she's getting a Christmas special. People love to hear her and millions voted for her. She has a very loyal fanbase when it comes to her albums. It's supposedly a big band, classic production which will make her vocals sound flawless. She is going to get massive acclaim for this, I can feel it. And I can see it selling 100-200k per week in December if promo goes right. I'm betting between 600-800k by Christmas.

Well let's look at her previous album. It was a greatest hits and it had a lead single that was a million seller and it's just gone past 500K now nearly a year later. I don't think the christmas single will do that well, and it'll obviously only sell during the christmas season, so I'd say 400K would be lucky. Blake also had a christmas special and his album didn't manage to top 500K in sales that christmas season.

She has country fans coming for Reba and Trisha Yearwood. If the single is the smash they say it will be, she can realistically do a 500k. If the album showcases her vocals well. It will be the top selling holiday album of the year.

GH's are flops recently. No one needs to buy the album when they have all the songs anyway. And they just buy the few singles that are new from them. It still opened with 75k.

And Blake isn't Kelly. He has a good Country following but she's much more respected and acclaimed vocally. I could be wrong on her numbers, I just have a feeling it will sell well.

Kelly will easily sell 600K first week. The GP is craving new music from her. And you can bookmark me.

I just think that if Blake Shelton can open with 7k, and still end up selling 500k by Christmas just thanks to his Christnas special, Kelly should easily top that.

She has a Christmas special, an AMA performance, a target exclusive, and who knows what else up her sleeves.
