It was all bad timing. I would not put an album when One Direction, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, or Alicia Keys put out theirs. I bet if she released it later then it might have done well.
Yes. She didn't even bother to perform her first single (outside of a Jimmy Fallon skit) and hardly promoted. Why should something succeed if the artist doesn't appear to be interested in pushing it? The album wasn't that great either, save for a few bops ("RHKL" and "LTBL" come to mind).
And don't get me wrong, I really like Xtina. I just think her head isn't in the "commercial game" anymore. Her letter kind of indicated that. So if she doesn't want to play anymore, why should she slay? You gotta work hard for those coins nowadays.
