With a dwindling social media presence , an under performing lead single, mixed reviews about her new film and meltdowns over the final version of 'Aura' it would appear that Lady Gaga has lost a lot of her star power. Adding insult to injury, she's being bested by Miley, Katy and newcomer Lorde.

So I want to know where did Gaga go wrong? Was 'Applause' the wrong choice for her comeback single? Did Gaga alienate her core fan base with the BTW era? What could she have done differently?

I love Gaga and I'm excited about her new album, but its like everyday someone is attacking Gaga in the media.

So ATRL, I want to know; What went wrong?

Katy's having her TFM hay-day and Miley and Lorde are having their first real taste of commercial success. The only thing that's worrisome at the moment is the video views and the sales for Applause. She's clearly lost people's interest as far as videos go, which used to be her shining point. As far as the sales, it's poor in comparison to how successful it has been on radio. If her album sales don't reflect the difference, then obviously there's a problem but we won't know that until the debut week sales come in.
