You're generalising and it makes you look like an arrogant fool. I could easily say that every Navy member sits on their sofa and smokes blunt after blunt waiting for their unemployment cheques to be posted.. But no I won't, because I don't generalise.

Because there was a rumour for a song with Gaga and Rihanna. And Gaga has now released a tracklist and R. Kelly is featured.
But Rihanna was rumoured for Sex Dreams, while R. Kelly is featured on another song.
Pointless thread.

R Kelly has written and worked with legends and icons like Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Biggie Jay-Z, Aaliyah, The Isley Brothers and Celine Dion. He's worked on 4 soundtracks for mainstram blockbuster movies. 4 of his albums outsold Rihanna's 7 (over 35 million). He's not some disposible pop artist.

-WFL won one Grammy, which adds to her already extensive collection. Rih doesn't have ONE Grammy, she has multiple.
-It is not ranked because the RS's "500 Greatest Songs of All Time" came out before WFL came out.
-Not yet, but have been used in multiple trailers for movies.
-It's been two years since its release. Etta covered IBICF ten years later. Coldplay, even if they are hated, are getting to the legend status soon enough and they've covered WFL.
-Matter of opinion.

Just as IBICF became a staple sound of the 90s, WFL is on it's way (if not already) to be coming a staple of this current period of music. Who's to say 20 years from now WFL won't be remembered over IBICF?

I have never liked WFL. It's too repetitive, sonically, lyrically and vocally.
She has better songs. Umbrella>>>>>>>>>>>>>WFL

I know all that but why are people acting like THIS is the song that Rihanna was rumoured to have sung on? It's like people want to be messy for the sake of it.

You can't tell other stans that they're living in the past when you bring up albums sales from the 90s compared to 2005-20013. In 2 years, WFL managed to almost match the total sales of IBICF that has so far spanned 17 years.

If you don't want to bring album sales into it because too much has changed in the industry, it's unfair to then bring up singles sales because those too have drastically changed since the 1990s.

Again, that is matter of opinion. Repetition helps people memorize and get it stuck in their head. Very common trick used in pop music, or do you not agree?
