PETA to protest during Katy Perry's performance on SNL
PETA then explained to her that the AHA doesn’t monitor cruel capture and training methods, and we hear PETA members will be protesting outside “Saturday Night Live” this weekend when Perry is scheduled to perform.
“Elephants don’t like loud noises, bright lights or hectic sets with dozens of people running around.... How did Suzy, a member of a threatened species from Africa, find herself next to Katy Perry on a deafening California set? She was violently captured from her free-roaming herd in Zimbabwe when she was 2 years old and shipped to the U.S., where she was most likely bound and beaten in order to make her perform without complaint.”
I agree with this. Well done PETA. Animals are not toys.
She's already told them the animals were treated perfectly well during the shoot. If they want to protest the capturing of animals they should be protesting somewhere else, obviously just looking for attention yet again
Hmm, I used to excuse Katy's lack of talent because she was never involved in animal cruelty unlike some of the other self-obsessed, unsympathetic, attention-seeking pop girls like Beyoncé, Rihanna and Gaga but she's starting to annoy me, I hope she stops it. If it was only a one-time thing and she doesn't continuously do it then fair enough, at least she isn't parading around in slaughtered animal skins to detract away from her limited vocal abilities and talent and trying to gain controversy because she's quickly fading into obscurity and irrelevancy like some other people previously mentioned. I guess we shall just wait and see.
They really need to invest their time and money in worse things than this.
