Having already shared that Pokémon X and Pokémon Y have secured more than 1.26 million pre-orders across Japan alone, Enterbrain are now reporting that retailers have stated that they’ve completely sold out of each version ahead of Saturday’s launch.
It’s a situation echoed by Monster Hunter 4 which has also seen available stock run dry, the sheer demand for the game having shifted a staggering 99.6 percent of the copies Capcom shipped to retailers. The Nintendo 3DS exclusive has sold more than 2.7 million copies in the three weeks since launch, with such figure excluding digital sales.
Signalling a remarkable turnaround for Nintendo’s handheld, once proclaimed dead by critics.

I pre-ordered X on Amazon (which is coming out next week) but I'm going to get Y this Saturday in store...I think I'm going to pre-order it now too and pick it up in store....
