Discussion: Gay couples vs straight couples?

After watching this amazing Australian show called Please Like Me , and that happens to me after watching any TV show or movie about gay love, I wonder if gay couples are mellower than the straight ones? Do you think they are, or are the straight ones more mellow since they don't have to fear for their lifes ( in some countries) for kissing in public or making out?

Same. The one gay relationship among my friends that has lasted for over six months ended with one stalking the other and leaving notes at the other's door so

I once read a really fascinating piece about the differences in the dynamics between straight couples and married couples and I can't find it now, but I did find this article
