Well, god hates queers.

She's not scared of her gay fans, she is scared of her fans period. She clearly doesn't feel comfortable with the idolization towards her, perhaps it's because she's been so famous for so long that she has forgotten what seeing an idol means to people, she has some kind of social anxiety disorder or her religiousness makes the idolization uncomfortable for her.

I remember security going on stage and trying to clear it up for her, but then they decided against it because the place was so overpacked. The medical staff were pulling people out of the crowd and bringing them on stage to "save" those who were getting crushed. I remember the crowd going nuts each time they played a Britney track (which was like every 4-5 songs). I can only imagine what the crowd would do if she actually came on stage. For my own safety I'm glad that she didn't come out that night. It was way too dangerous there and you couldn't escape even if you wanted to.

I can't at the people calling her homophobic, she has addressed her gay fans numerous times in the past couple years and how much she loves them. Just because she backed out of a performance at a gay nightclub that doesn't mean she's homophobic. Do your ****ing research before making a thread.

This. She literally had a heart attack when a fan was on stage a good ten feet away from her during the Circus Tour...like you could see her screaming "oh my god"
She is not homophobic...I think the 2007 VMA performance backlash scarred her for life...it was her first true taste of what it feels like to be unloved. The stage was no longer a place of fun and excitement, but of trouble and nervousness.
