15 is a song she wrote when she was 17 and was released as a part of Fearless which was also released when she was 17. The Kanye incident happened 10 months after album's release and was released as a single prior to that incident I think.

All of Rih tours grossed respectfully for her Amount of dates tho and her power to sell at that time

Taylor has had the more consistent career. Rihanna has an easy, easy advantage with her multi-format radio support and Taylor is still selling albums/singles like it's nobody's business.

Did no promo for the song or no plans for the video cause of the success of you belong with me tho but all that changed September 13, 2009

Rihannas last 6 albums all went platinum and all have at least one number one song. All taylors albums have all sold 10 million each. So I guess they're both pretty consistent.

15 was released to radio on August 30 and the video was released and the song got promoted after the incident. Artists don't release their videos and start promotion on the same day of radio release. That's pretty common/normal.

I'd say Rihanna overall. However, I find Taylor's consistency more impressive considering how massive her numbers are. A very small number of artists can say they opened with 1 mil+ twice.
