'X Factor' reveals new 'Flash Vote' twist for live shows

X Factor has confirmed the details of a new Flash Vote twist, which is intended to shake up the Saturday night reality show's live rounds.

The 10-minute Flash Vote will take place at the end of each Saturday live show and will allow fans a short chance to vote for the acts that they want to save from the drop.

After all the contestants have performed, the voting lines will open and the public can select their favourite performer. When the phone lines close, the act with the lowest number of votes will be told that they face Sunday night's sing-off.

Voting lines will reopen on Sunday night's show, where the second contestant to face the sing-off will be revealed.

The new twist has replaced the unpopular decision to have voting open throughout the Saturday night show last year, which many critics described as a cynical attempt to make more money from phone votes.

The X Factor Judges' Houses round takes place this weekend and the Final 12 acts will be unveiled on Sunday (October 6).

Gary Barlow is looking after the Groups this year, Louis Walsh will mentor the Boys, Nicole Scherzinger has the Girls and Sharon Osbourne takes control of the Overs.

Hm, I like the idea but I think it would be better on Sunday's results show after the bottom 2 is announced.

And what happens in the case of a deadlock? Saturday's bottom act automatically goes home?

Miss Dynamix singer Sese Foster announces she's pregnant

TV bosses are planning for the first X Factor baby after Sese Foster announced she was pregnant – just days before the live shows.

The 22-year-old singer shocked show execs last week by admitting she is nearly five months gone.

Sese is due at the end of January but could give birth early while performing and extra *precautions are now in place.

Viewers last night saw Sese and her Miss Dynamix bandmates Jeanette Akua and Rielle Carrington make the live finals in Gary Barlow’s category.

While filming that slot in New York she was already expecting but did not tell anyone as she wanted to be treated the same as the others.

The mum-of-one said: “I found out I was pregnant at about three and a half months and I’m now at the 22 week stage.

“The dad, who is looking after my daughter, was thrilled.

"My new bandmates have been brilliant, they have been so supportive and really positive.

"They’re already playing the auntie roles perfectly feeding me up and making sure I eat healthily.”

Sese broke the news to mentor Gary a week ago.

She added: “He was over the moon. He talked to me about his children and said any advice I need he’s there for me.

“I feel doubly blessed. I’ve got really exciting times ahead with the girls in the band and finding out about the baby has been like the cherry on the cake. 2014 will be a year to remember.”

Bosses are now working out a schedule for Sese that will allow her to rest during the week so she is not tired for the weekend’s live shows.

They will have extra medical staff at the London studios.

An X Factor source said: “We were delighted to hear Sese’s news.

"She’s being well looked after and her rehearsals are being scheduled carefully to ensure she has plenty of time to rest.

"Her bandmates have even joked that they’re looking forward to welcoming a fourth member to the band soon.”

In September 2011, Charley Bird announced she was pregnant on the show.

But her band 2 Shoes were *eliminated months before she gave birth.

Miss Dynamix are tipped to do well on the show, meaning Sese could be just weeks away from her due date when she makes her final performance.

Jeanette added: “I’ve already made sure Sese has me and Rielle down as godmothers.

“We’ve gone from a three-piece band to three-and-a-half-piece band.”

Nope, they will be in the bottom 2 multiple times throughout the show, due to no likeability. The judges will save them up until the last weeks of course, cause they will sing the **** out of the sing-offs.

Hannah will remain likable as long as they dont try to frame her as a bully. Can't say the same about Tamera. If she pulls an alexandra burke with her performance skills and doesn't get too much bad press, I'm sure she'll be fine.

Hannah has the most potential to win. She's vunerable, real, emotional, humble, grateful and kind. Not to mention she has a killer voice and sob story. Don't underestimate her power.

I see good things for them. When The Saturdays got their first #1, Rochelle was pregnant, so maybe Sese can bring them the gold

Don't underestimate Nicholas. The Scottish votes will carry him through the competition like it did Christopher Maloney.

Rough Copy are awesome, I just hope they are able to build up a solid fanbase. I guess thats going to be their real issue, similar to "The Risk" back in 2011 who were awesome but somehow didn't manage to connect.
