This thread seems shady. If this was created with intention to get the ignorant members of the forum to look at themselves a little harder, you kinda failed. Might want to start of with a more open title and work your way up from there

'Colorblind' is code for racism-blind.

This thread wasn't created to educate people, I wanted to hear opinions by people who have already thought about this topic and see what they think. I just read about the term "colorblind racism" and wanted to know if people think colorblinds are racist.

In terms of personal and day to day interactions, I think colorblindness is the only way for someone to actually NOT be racist at all, which I don't think is possible because it is human nature to have some type of reaction simply based on a person's appearance.

When it comes to culture and history though, I guess colorblindness sort of ignores the varieties of cultures out there in favor of a singular more homogenous one... But I don't think that is necessarily racist. Just because you are not aware of every cultural practice doesn't mean you aren't accepting of them.

I agree with the interaction part. I also think that in many cases, when people say that they are colorblind, they mean that they treat people free of prejudice, not that they ignore racism.

You can tell if someones black if you can't see the colour anyway bc they have different facial features to white people. Same thing with indians, Chinese etc.
