You're right for the wrong reasons.
We Can' Stop went Top 10 on the fact people wanted to hear the train wreck music Miley was making plus stan power.
Wrecking Ball went #1 on its video power mostly. Had she made a less naked, more regular video, it wouldn't have went #1. That plus the backlash from the VMAs launched her to #1.
This is her most successful era but trust & believe her album sales + longevity won't exist. Wrecking Ball and We Can't Stop are already dropping and the GP is getting tired of her antics. Media even went as far as to make Lorde the Anti-Miley and the GP is eating it up and making Lorde smash now. They already started leaving Miley out in the cold to starve attention-wise.
Anyways, PFRR is arguably Nicki's most successful era in single sales, cultural influence, global impact and whatnot so, let's not act like PFRR was a bad. It was a sloppy version of what Miley is doing now BUT Nicki recovered from it which is more than I can say for Miley soon.
