With celebrity comes the weight of popularity = desire to emulate you.
You can't get all the riches and the fame without being scrutinized. But like I've read it's not 100% yes, it's not black and white no either.... People in magazines, fashion wise anyway, those magazines are put out to start trends; When an artist puts out a song, they hope it "Trends" and people catch on and do what they're trying to commercialize; you think Britney puts her perfume in the video to make the set smell better?
no, it's so that people go and buy it because she has it/uses it or backs it
