I disagree the movie is not this Huge because of Sandra Bullock but think of the director.
It one of the most hype movie this year and since i don't much about the US movie market i can't say much about box office numbers but i know for sure that Sandra has never been a critic darling here nor a box office magnat. Gravity will probably be her biggest and most acclaimed movie ever, thinks to Alfonso.

This kind of movie don't even demand alot of acting skills. It all about the production, the special effects etc.

The numbers are all on Sandra. I think the only other actress I could picture in this role is Charlize but I doubt it would open this big.

Definetly one of the biggest imo.Alot of people go and see the movies just because she's in them.Say what u want about all the attention on gravity being down to the director (imo it's the actors that really drag people in,) but wheres the excuse for the blind side doing so well.She puts so much heart in every film shes made and it shows.
Even away from acting she's really funny on talk shows and interviews and thats prob why she's loved so much.

She's no.1 to me followed by Meryl Streep,dont get me wrong Meryl Streep is an amazing actress but i'm more interested in the movies that Sandra Bullock makes <3
