Chris Brown: 'Rihanna arrest was the biggest wake-up call'
Quote:
Chris Brown has described his arrest for assaulting ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009 as "the biggest wake-up call".
Brown attacked Rihanna after a pre-Grammys party in February 2009. He was sentenced to five years probation and 180 days of community labour six months later, after pleading guilty to the assault in court.
"It was probably one of the most troubling times in my life," Brown told The Guardian. "I had to stop acting like a little teenager, a crazy wild young guy."
"You can talk with all my girls that I did mess with, it's never been a violent history."
Brown continued by saying that he had learned from the incident and its consequences, adding: "It was almost like… I wouldn't say it happened for a reason, but it was something to trigger my mind to be more of a mature adult.
"To handle myself in situations, don't throw tantrums, don't be a baby about it."
Rihanna and Brown ultimately reconciled and briefly rekindled their relationship earlier this year.
Brown recently pledged his support to the LGBT community, promoting a petition urging Cameroon's President Biya to act after an increase in homophobic attacks was recorded in the country.
Everyone fights in their relationships he was young he made a mistake and unfortunately his was publicized so be it. It takes an adult to forgive themselves and learn from the mistakes. Good job Chris.

Are yall gonna drag this man every time he talks about the incident? It clearly bothers him and is his way of dealing with what he did. Leave Chris Brown alone dammit!!

Don't even try that **** here because it is noT cute.
If it was such a wake-up call then why is he still in trouble for potential parole violations and acting crazy in parking lots over a ten dollar parking fee?
