Flashing Lights' Top 50 of 07 (#1 Posted........................)
It's that time of year again.... 2007 was a year of ups and downs of music, and here are my personal top 50 of 2007.
#50
Avril Lavigne - "When You're Gone"

Starting off the list at #50 is the first off two songs for this girl. She has had a hell of a year with the sad ballad "When You're Gone" by Avril Lavigne. It simply explains how much you miss someone, and that you would like to see them again. Of course the video has to take place in a post 9/11 world. As a solider going to the Iraq war, and a wife wanting to see him again. It can also talk about, how it explains in the video, the loss of a person, and of course like my parents, how you can't see someone. Great song, and video. I hope she can comeback in 2008 with another ballad.

Nickelback - "Rockstar"

At #49 it is the 5th single of their album "All The Right Reasons", and the first of two entries for them. It is Nickelback with "Rockstar". Bascally the song is about wanting to be a rockstar, and what you could do, like having the key to the playboy mansion, and being a member of the 'mile high club at 30,000 feet'. The video just has several celebs mouthing the lyrics until the end where yo see Nickelback for 2 seconds. Great song, and weird video.

#48
Fabolous ft. Ne-Yo - "Make Me Better"

At #48 is the only entry from Fabolous and it is "Make Me Better". This cool song is just a song about showin' ur love to ur lady. That she "makes me better", and I think u know that since Ne-Yo repeats it 10 times. The video is dope too, as they be in a club, wit girls. So nice song and hotter video.

#47
Jordin Sparks - "Tattoo"

At #47 it is the first single off her self-titled new album. It is Tattoo. Though at first it sounded really corny, it really catches on you. Saying that the person is in her heart just like a tattoo, and that she'll always have him. Well Jordin just like tattoos you can get rid of them, but with a price! That video is ok with an apperance from Blake. Go away God! Hopefully "No Air" will be in my 2008 countdown. We'll just see.

#46
Ciara - "Like A Boy"

At #46 is the second single of her album "The Evolution", and it is "Like A Boy". It shows how girls would like to run a relationship like a guy usually does. The video is weird, but Ciara is hot in it! Ciara was of course talking about Bow Wow in those lyrics, and proud of it! And no I'm not gay of liking this song, 50 Cent likes it.

#45
Beyonce and Shakira - "Beautiful Liar"

I decided not to post the single cover for this song, but one of the many sexy scenes in the video! #45 is the first of second entries for Beyonce, and only 1 for Shakira. It is "Beautiful Liar". The song explains how two girls decide not to fight over a guy, but to laugh about it, and have a good time. Eventhough the video made no sense over the lyrics, I DONT CARE! The video is probably the hottest of 2007, and two beautiful women get it on!

#44
Good Charlotte - "I Don't Wanna Be In Love"

At #44 is the only entry for them. It is "I Don't Wanna Be In Love". This song is interesting as it is the only time I hear a rock band use a hip-hop slang "Trippin'"! The song is of course about Hilary Duff and what she did wrong. The video is confusing, but looks lighty. I hope they can release another good song next year!

#43
Kelly Clarkson - "Never Again"

A really bad and disappointing year for Kelly. With only one decent track that she released in the name of "Never Again". I don't know what went wrong. The track is better then some of the songs on "Breakaway", and it had that summer edge. It flopped though leading the way for one of the most disappointing albums of the year. The video is nice, and sorta makes sense. The song is about how she'll never forgive him what he did. (In the song a breakup, the video a murder! ) I really hope Kelly can comeback better and stronger than a really bad 2007 for her. A very good track though.

#42
Rihanna - "Shut Up & Drive"

At #42 it is the first of four amazing entries for this chick. It is Rihanna with Shut Up & Drive. This cool, edgey summer track explains in metaphor how Rihanna tells a guy to "Shut Up & Drive" (of course in persona of sex). The video is hot, and is one of the best of 2007. What a hell of a year Rihanna has had with the most amount of entries for any artist! Good job Rihanna.

#41
Rihanna ft. Ne-Yo - "Hate That I Love You"

Well, would you look at that! Back to back Rihanna! The second of four entries is Rihanna once again with a little help from Ne-Yo with "Hate That I Love You". This song is has a nice melody saying to the male that 'she hates that she loves him' which makes sense. That just means that she doesn't wanna break up with him, because she loves him too much. Makes sense. The video makes Rihanna look hot again! This track of course is a nice ballad, and video. 2 down 2 left to go for Rihanna!

#40
Alicia Keys - "No One"

Leaving the top 40 with #40 is the beautiful and lovely Alicia Keys with one of her best: "No One". This track of course is about loving someone, and like how she explains it: "No One No One NO ONE...... Can get in the way of what i feel for you....". Lovely though. In the video she sings in 4 different rooms, which is a little confusing, but it's fun. I hope "Like You'll Never See Me Again" appears next year.

Alright guys. I posted #50 thur #40 of my top 50 of 2007. Now we are going back a year ago, and I will now tell you what was my top song of 2006. (It was unpublished )
My #1 song of 2006:
Shakira ft. Wyclef Jean - "Hips Don't Lie"

SHAKIRA SHAKIRA! Yes, oh yes! I loved everything about this song. The beat, the melody, the lyrics, the video, EVERYTHING!!!!! It had a rap from Wyclef which added flavor, and just everything about this song turned me on. The song is about how Shakira's "Hips Don't Lie", and that she's on tonight! The video was just, JESUS! Shakira shaked those hips with her all, and she deserved a worldwide smash! It was the #1 song of 2006 for Z100, KIIS, and many other stations. I just loved this track, and will probably be upthere on my all time list! ~COUGHS~ #1! ~COUGHS~
