I'm curious to see if your opinion changes after seeing the movie. I know it's all mostly politics/reason anyways, but sometimes the best performance does take it. I loved 'Blue Jasmine' and Cate, but they just don't hold a candle to 'Gravity' and Sandra.

It had a good idea behind and the source material is great. The effects worked well but the overall execution was all over the place. And the Friday Night Lights dude cannot carry a picture like this.

I don't like talking about movies, the last movie I watched is The Conjuring.

I haven't seen neither and I'm biased but from what you're saying, you're more blown away by the movie and the technology around it. Of course a Woody Allen dramedy can't hold a candle to that but the acting is a whole different story.

No, no. The acting from Sandra was better too, imo. Again, it's a movie that has to be seen to get it. It's definitely not just the visuals that drive it.
