Yup. Westminster doesn't give a crap about anyone outside of a 50 Mile radius of London, I'd rather we tried and failed as an independent nation than stay with the corrupt arsehole politicians we currently have and regret not taking the chance.

Maybe you should do some research on the topic before commenting? "Scots" is considered a separate language from traditional English, and Gaelic is still going nicely. Scots culture has massive differences to English culture both traditionally and politically (hence why there's even a debate about independence - if we agreed with English politics why would we want to go our own way?), and we've been part of the same Nation for over 300 years and yet 99% of Scots would still say that they are Scottish rather than British, a whole load of them would be offended if you tried to call them British. If that doesn't prove Scotland has it's own national identity I don't know what would.
There's a reason why Scotland still has it's own independent legal system to England, with its laws having completely different structures and coverage - we're a completely different place with completely different requirements. Why else would our independent law system survive 300 years under English rule? If you trained as a lawyer in Scotland you would need to be re-trained before you could practice law in England.
Also, *technically* Scotland is still a Country according to the Act of Union, the 'United Kingdom' is more of a European Union of Britain than an actual Nation State. The question is more 'Should the Union with England be broken' rather than 'Should Scotland secede from the UK' - The UK
cannot exist without Scotland.
