Last time I checked artists feature on somebody else's music in order to advance their own career one way or another. Period.

you sound so stupid. some artist actually collaborate because they value what another artist has done/is doing on an artistic level and wants to work with them whether money is involved or not. if not that it's because they feel a certain artist would add something to a song because of their voice, life experiences and/or stand point on things in the industry.
I'm not saying that's the case w/ all or even most artist at all, but in context to what my friend (the Miley stan I was talking about) was saying, I was informing him that it's simply money/exposure, not the things I stated above.
