For the past few years she helped a lot of people in the poorest areas in terms of their basic needs especially about nutrition on children. She used her voice and influence on how can she really help people instead of sugar coating and glamourizing her trips to these countries hence not alot of people don't know about her expeditions. If you have a passion in helping these people, you don't need to remind the media and people in their faces about how much you helped but its the effort and passion to do so. It reflects on how kind and passionate christina is and it takes time for the people and media to realize it. But now is the time and that is why she is being recognized and awarded for her efforts.
