Especially since it is a false statement on every account? Adele is nearly two years older if I remember right, and there are tons of teen girls having babies which doesn't make them mature or adult.
The tabloids and media have created this fake version of Taylor; and I believe she was right that it's because she is on top and behaves decently, and they have to try to bring her down to their level.
"Friendly reminder that*Adele*and*Taylor*Swift*are the same age yet one of them has a child and another is mentally stuck in middle school."

Annoys the **** outta me. The suggestion that having a baby=being more mature is a terrible message. I mean, God forbid two young women make different choices with their lives. If Adele is so much more mature than Taylor, then they should be able to find better reasons than 'she got knocked up'.
The problem is, of course, that Adele isn't. She made albums full of heartrending break-up songs about guys she'd only been dating a few months. She threw shade at one of those guys when she picked up her Grammy. She's joked about stalking her exes new gfs on Facebook. People assume because she looks older, has a mature singing voice and sings throwback music, that she is somehow more mature than other girls. She's not, but even if she was, acting 10 years
older than your age doesn't mean that other girls have to abandon being young and having fun, so they can be as 'mature' as you. What's wrong with enjoying being the age you are?
The general 'Taylor is sooo immature' thing annoys me so much. I'm not saying Taylor hasn't indulged in some petty behaviour. But so have many other celebrities her age and older (Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry) and they don't get people going "Wah, wah, she's so childish" about every little thing. IMO, the reason they do it with Taylor is because she hasn't sexed up her image and people use that as an indicator that female stars have 'grown up'. People roll their eyes at Miley's antics, but if someone grows up gradually and gracefully the way Taylor has done, people don't even notice. There's a weird thing where people are stuck on Taylor's 'high school girl on the bleachers' image, but still put it on her today when she's 23, and the image she projects is quite different.
