No? That was what the media and the OP of the other thread twisted it into. She was also talking about herself in that quote. So it was obviously a remark about celebrity culture in general.

Lana writing songs about love is bad but Taylor writing about breakups is good. Sounds like someone just wants young girls growing up with a hostile attitude towards men.

What is so hostile about her songs? A few of them may be less complimentary but frustration, disappointment, anger etc. are all human emotions and can fuel your creativity when you are a songwriter. Most of her songs are about love.

I don't personally have a problem with either but if Lorde wants to be critical of Lana for writing about love I don't get how Taylor would be any better of a role model in her eyes.
