Let's look at history: If Gaga is gonna be compared to anyone, it's obviously the tired Madonna comparisons that come up first right? Well, Madonna's best selling album (not counting her first greatest hits compilation) is Like a Virgin, her second album. If this era was happening in today's generation, all of you would be calling her a "flop" and "over" considering all of her albums after that have sold considerably less.

But since we're on the topic of singles, Madonna's lead singles have always consistently hit the top up until 1992 Erotica, where she "went too far" and was presumably "over" just like Gaga must be now. Erotica is considered an overlooked classic now and Bedtime Stories, along with her most critically acclaimed album Ray Of Light, have no #1's in the U.S. Gaga is and will be fine. Her impact on this generation is obvious and she won't be going anywhere anytime soon.
