I love that Pokemon: The Origin pretty much highlighted how awkward some of the battles are in the games - battling amongst trash cans in the Vermillion City Gym and then trying to battle with Charizard and Nidoqueen in Giovanni's office.
I loved the special tho. After the initial awkwardness of him being a new trainer, I love that out of nowhere he had all of these Pokemon to use. The ending was awesome.
The Origin was well done for jamming the entire game into pretty much standard movie-length. I would have loved to see it in a nice 13-episode arc; but oh well. I just liked seeing Red using a variety of Pokemon and such.
I'm actually ok with having about 70, it seems like XY are the games with the most content and biggest story, we have a huge variety on Pokemon and it seems like there is a lot to discover. Tbh i would have loved to get about 100 but we can't change that anymore
