It seems like the moment someone changes their Avatar from one artist to another, everyone immediately assumes they stan unconditionally for that person. It seems that almost immediately after changing your avatar to another artist, people from the various stanbases on this site begin to perceive you differently in general. Do you agree or disagree?
Do you think Avatars are overrated in their importance on ATRL?
no. I've never had an Azealia or Beyoncé avi, but I never see either of their bases trash me. I don't use avis of either because I want to look more neutral anyways. Lol.
They are very important for establishing identity. Even "high profile" members I find forgettable if they change their avi's too much. I am just a very visual person.

X100 , from the top of my head i only remember a few members here (aside from the gaga threads) cause they keep the same avi
avatars act as a first impression, so some might have an immediate assumption.
Of course you might feel differently, but this is based on visuals...until you get to know the person or examine their patterns.
That's the reason why I never have pictures of my faves in my avi or sig.
I guess I just feel better that my stan affiliation isn't out clearly on display because it means I can throw basically any of the gurls under the bus and not have somebody try to be slick and say "NOT WITH THAT AVI! "
