They can. "Best Song Ever" would have had "Blurred Lines" not been the monster it is. If they saved it for the lead single of the album and released it now, with the same situation/sales, it would've topped the chart.

Just depends on the strength of the #1 whenever their new single comes, because undoubtedly they'll have the sales + streaming.

They have a shot. They have huge first-week sales and streams. BSE would have gone #1 if it weren't for Blurred Lines.

If the video is that good, i do see it being a Wrecking Ball type situation. With that,airplay will def. pick up for them.

The only song I can see reaching "Blurred Lines" level in the next few months is "Royals." And still, it won't be nearly as big as Blurred Lines.
