Yes, she was. Her sound literally has barely changed over the last 4 years, the production quality just rose. If anything I guess she sounds more palatable with the singles on Visions than the music on her first two records but thus why this album was the one that got popular.

Katy has the same fashion influences for this era Charli XCX has. Neither invented the trend and honestly, clothes are clothes. Aside from that, Charli's fashion is basic tumblr gothic-inspired hipster stuff. Nothing really innovative on her side. You could literally have been on tumblr for ages and have had this kind of fashion cross your dashboard loads of times.
