It's just a word used to describe my sexual attraction; I'm not bothered by it. Unless people want to make it some sort of insult, but that's their problem and not mine.
You kinda just have to re-appropriate it. I used to hate it because I thought it was ugly, but that was mostly because I was afraid of being gay/out. Now, that I am I don't mind saying I am and joke about being gay all the time ahahah
I hate when people use homosexual. ""Homosexual marriage", "homosexual relationship", "homosexuals adopting children", etc. There's almost always this tone whenever someone uses it that's very negative.
I'm really uncomfortable using it. I try not to. I like men and it's no secret, and I'm definitely exclusively homosexual, but I feel incredibly uncomfortable saying or thinking I'm "gay". I've never said "I'm gay" and I refuse to say it. I'd rather just be than have to define myself all the time with any given term. I just want a boyfriend, who the hell cares what it's called?
