It's rare, but that example is nothing really. The claws don't come out until someone insults me personally or goes way too far with a Britney drag, and that wasn't really far enough. I'm a nice guy so it takes a lot to get me angry.

She has alot of youngs fans in comparison to her peers from around the same time. My concert dates at Circus and the FF tour were littered with young girls.

Britney's music is appealing to a wide range of ages in my experience. I was only two and a half when BOMT was released, so her music is something that's been there since I was extremely young. I was old enough at 4 to love "Crazy" when it was on my first CD (Now! 4) and love hearing "Oops!" on the radio, and later on I'd hear "Toxic" on the radio every day. There's a strong connection there that I imagine exists with a lot of people around 15 to 17.

Yeah, I saw the circus and it was mainly younger girls but that's kinda the case with all current pop stars.

I'm shocked she has "stans" that post on message boards that are of that age. Kinda impressive. If I didn't grow up with Britney (I'm 24) and witness the phenomenon and greatness of her prime, I would never be a stan at this point. Like how do you start stanning from Circus or FF....what a mess.

It's actually really interesting you said that! Even what is mediocre for Britney is above average for pop stars though. I started out as a Gaga stan who would, due to outside peer pressure, actually drag Britney on occasion having heard comparatively little of her material besides a few of her good singles. FF came out and changed my perspective entirely; she might have done an album people might consider basic or generic, but I loved it and couldn't get enough of it. It inspired me to check out her catalog of music and brought to the forefront of my mind memories of her hits, as well as exposing me to her brilliant albums. As you can clearly see these days, I've done penance for what I said in the past and become a fully fledged stan. It's all in one's own personal experiences.

For the record, I look back on what I consider my "delusional period" with absolute dread, so let's never bring that up again.
